"We had a department that had weekly meeting with 200 doctors and needed to record their attendance. They were having problems reading the signatures and having to type the names in database. I found RF IDeas on the Internet and with no modification to their system was able to create a custom application that recorded attendance electronically. Now users just walk past the proximity reader which is attached to an iPAQ and they are registered for the class. The administrator does no typing. She places the iPAQ in the cradle and the database application is automatically updated.
