pcProx®-USB

Identifying users when there are so many software applications needing their individual information is challenging. If users manually enter an ID, there are errors and the cost to obtain accuracy can be excessive.  Complicating matters is the number of formats in use for proximity cards.

This is where the powerful yet easy-to-use configuration software comes to the rescue.  The pcProx USB configuration application configures the reader’s output with various formatting options. Once configured, pcProx takes the proximity card’s identification information and sends it as keystrokes as if it were typed by the user.

pcProx-USB can be programmed to parse facility and ID codes, drop parity bits, and format the data length. In addition, it can add keystrokes to the beginning, middle, or after the card data prior to sending the resultant output as keystrokes. scanned data. This is all accomplished using the configuration utility. Once configured, pcProx holds this information in its non-volitile memory.

When pcProx is deployed, no software is needed. It uses standard USB drivers supplied by the operating system such as Windows and Macintosh.

This kit includes a pcProx-USB reader (please specify HID, Motorola, Indala, or Casi-Rusco), the Configuration application and User's Guide are available on the web.  An optional software developer’s kit is available.

AS A PROX READER For Your PDA

Our CF Card allows any RF IDeas USB proximity card reader to keystroke the proximity card data to the location of the cursor on your PDA screen! This works on Compaq iPAQ and Dell Axim, expands your application and ideas of PDA based systems.

Supports USB Flash Memory reader/writers, USB Flash Memory sticks, Zip, Mo and other removable storage devices. Allows you to save, restore data from/to your PDA, to exchange big data simply with WindowsPC.

Easy to install, fully compatible with Windows Microsoft ActiveSync.

AS AN ENROLLMENT READER

The open architecture design means universal support for existing proximity cards and unlimited future expansion.

pcProx is designed to  operate quickly and effectively in conditions where large numbers of badges need to be produced and printed. By not requiring an operator to key in every piece of information when badges are created, large numbers of employees can be quickly processed.

AS A LOG-ON READER

Wave your proximity card at the log-on password prompt and let pcProx-USB fill in the field for you. You can then have  the reader add a 'ENTER' or TAB key to complete the process. Click here for more details.

For increased security, couple the proximity card number with a 4 character PIN for a secure two-factor authentication system.  All without external  software.  Perfect for thin client terminals! See pcProx-USB for pdf file.

SIMPLICITY

The Configuration Application is very powerful but simple to operate.  Simply specify the facility and ID codesto send from the employee  proximity badge.  Then add a Tab, carriage return or line feed after the number so the entry advances to the next field on the screen of your software, and away you go!

You can define templates for different configurations to further improve your productivity.
