RFID RP40 multiCLASS Reader - iCLASS & Prox (Door/Kiosk Readers / HID iCLASS)

The RP40 is a multi-technology card reader designed for customers upgrading their current card system from HID Prox to iCLASS� credentials. With the RP40 reader, the customer has the ability to transition to smart cards over time while incorporating the use of multiple card technologies within a single building or across multiple facilities.
Unlike contactless smart card serial number readers, with the RP40 multiCLASST reader, you get enhanced security through mutual authentication and data encryption.

Unique Read Selection

. iCLASS Only - the reader will only read and output data from an iCLASS credential

. Prox Only - the reader will only read and output data from an Prox credential

. iCLASSv Preferred - when a multi-technology card is presented, the reader will only read and output
iCLASS data.

. Prox Preferred - when a multi-technology card is presented, the reader will only read and output Prox data

. Universal - when a multi-technology card is presented, the reader will read and output both iCLASS and
Prox data with duplicate numbers suppressed.

Seamless Upgrade

. Same Prox reader features and format compatibilities

. Same iCLASS reader features and are interchangeable for reading iCLASS credentials.

. All Corporate 1000 formats can be migrated.
