RF IDeas Lowers Prices on FIPS201 Products
Government smart card readers allow for employee access with PIV cards
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--RF IDeas, Inc., the leading provider of proximity and contactless smart card reader solutions for the desktop and other applications, announces lower prices for their FIPS201 products. The FIPS201 products are card readers tailored to government agencies implementing the contactless smart card technology under HSPD-12.
The FIPS201 readers are capable of reading Personal Identification Verification (PIV) cards. PIV cards are the approved form of identification required for all U.S. Government employees and contractors to gain physical and logical access to government resources. The readers extend the use to time & attendance, dispensing supplies, secure print release, meeting attendance, verification of live badges, and many more purposes.
“RF IDeas’ FIPS201 readers are unique and of great benefit to the U.S. Government,” said President Richard Landuyt, President of RF IDeas. “By lowering our prices as the Government deals with impending budget cuts, during this Government budget time of year, we’re aiming to enable more agencies to afford this revolutionary product.”
