ROLLING MEADOWS, IL., June 29th, 2021 —rf IDEAS is pleased to announce that it has joined the Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA) and will participate in the work of the Secure Credential Interoperability (SCI) working group.
“The work that PSIA is doing to address the need for a universal, secure and interoperable credential across all markets is of utmost importance given the industry emphasis on strong passwordless authentication”, said Gourgen Oganessyan, product marketing manager at rf IDEAS and the company’s representative at PSIA. “We are looking forward to contributing to this effort and helping expand it beyond physical access control to all use cases of logical access.”
Earlier this year, PSIA announced the launch of its Secure Credential Interoperability initiative that will develop a specification that supports NFC, ISO14443, and Bluetooth (BLE) and therefore can accommodate all device types including cards, mobile devices, and wearables.
