In a recent video interview with Help Net Security, rf IDEAS President David Cottingham shares his predictions for what 2025 holds for user identity protection and how to solve the “password problem.” David forecasts that companies implementing MFA into their workflows to address this problem will start to use more secure technologies, such as encrypted high frequency or NFC card types. Typically, second factors for MFA are PINs or an authenticator app, which David explains are impractical in certain settings and not nearly as secure as an encrypted physical badge.
